Meet our new Associate, Dr. Paul Child Jr.
Dr. Child is a Prosthodontist and Certified Dental Technician (CDT) that provides all procedures related to full-mouth rehabilitation and ethical, long-term solutions. As a Prosthodontist, he excels in high-end esthetics; dental implants, both surgical and restorative; removable prostheses supported by implants; medical and congenital conditions; and complex cases requiring a team approach. Regardless of the discipline, all the restorations he provides for his patients are custom designed, highly esthetic and natural appearing to ensure your new smile exceeds your expectations.
Dr. Child graduated dental school with High Honors (summa cum laude) from Case School of Dental Medicine and completed his Prosthodontics specialty training at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. Since becoming a Prosthodontist, Dr. Child has provided over 100 continuing education courses in the United States and internationally, authored many articles, and completed research on many dental materials, instruments, equipment, and technologies. He is an avid follower and reader of anything dental, medicine, or technology related.
Dr. Child is a member of many academies and organizations, including the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, the invitation-only membership organization for the most accomplished professionals in the field of esthetic dentistry. These elite members perform some of the most sought-after and complicated dental procedures available in the world today.
It is not uncommon for many of Dr. Child's patients to seek him out, feeling hopeless about their condition, yet to complete treatment a few months later filled with hope, improved self-esteem, enjoying food again, and even career and life advancements due to their beautiful new smile. Many of Dr. Child's patients travel from out-of-state seeking his solutions, having heard or read about how he treats his patients, then delivers on his promise.
Dr. Child's patients describe him as a perfectionist with a loving and empathetic demeanor, with just the right amount of humor. He welcomes all and judges no one. He has genuine love for everyone and looks for the positive and commonality in individuals.
Dr. Child takes the necessary time with each patient to listen to their needs and to ensure that all of their options are explored and discussed, giving them the autonomy to choose what is best for them. Dr. Child is highly ethical and places this characteristic above all else in his work and personal life.
Dr. Child's personal mantra is "If I don't have time to do it right the first time, when will I have time to do it over?" As a specialist whom is skilled and experienced in correcting other's mistakes made by misdiagnosis, rushed treatment, of ignorance, Dr. Child ensures quality time is spent in each appointment to fully listen to your concerns (and your joys!), ensuring the outcomes are higher than expected.
When not involved in dentistry, Dr. Child can be found reading an inspiring book or spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
